The flat track is hardened and precisely ground, and can be specified with spur gears or helical racks and pinions to provide powerful and precise drive. This system features high load capacity and speed capabilities of over 6m/s. Large wheels with axial capacity allow the system to tolerate debris, misalignment, joint obstructions, and accidental damage. The bearing blocks can specify lubricants, which are fed to the track to maximize lifespan, and scraper plates remove debris, including welding spatter, from the track surface. The bearing blocks have significant capacity in all directions, but downward strength is enhanced to accommodate heavy payloads. This configuration is ideal for robotic applications, even with overhanging loads and high acceleration.
